Happy Birthday, babe! It's your big 3-0 today and I especially love celebrating your birthday because it means we get to be the same age again (and you can no longer tease me for being six months older than you)...

Have you been watching The Mindy Project? It's one of my favorite TV shows and has recently been guest starring my biggest girl crush, Chloë Sevigny. She was my favorite character in Big Love and I just love the cool confidence she seems to always exude onscreen. Not to mention she always looks beautiful in anything she wears!

hanging out with megan!

Over the weekend, my little sister came and stayed with us for a few days...I am always so excited when she is here! We had a blast together catching up, eating, shopping, and watching way too many guilty pleasure movies on the couch (Twilight saga anyone??). I also took her to the Fort Worth Zoo for the first time...where we got to see baby rhino, Asha, sunbathing in a pool with her mom:)

Um, say hello to my dream cake...made of strawberry pocky!!! Boy do I need to learn how to make this...

Furoshiki is a versatile type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that you can use to wrap a present, use as a bag or even wear as a scarf! I like the idea of giving someone a gift within a gift.

After scrolling through my camera roll this past weekend, I've realized that about 50% of my photos* are food related (yep, I'm one of those people). So I've decided that every Tuesday going forward, I will post two photos of things that I very much enjoy eating at the moment. Some will be homemade. Some will be from my Instagram. But all will be tasty! To start things off...

one: salmon + tomatoes + capers = my favorite kind of brunch.
two:  the start of blueberry season calls for blueberry muffins!
